Not quite the demographic I would have bet money on, but it makes sense. There are so few decent places to talk to real people on the internet anymore, and Reddit has done a better job than most at keeping the community feeling alive. It's one of the only social media sites left that isn't (entirely) a dumping ground for short form video and AI slop.
