At some point memory just becomes part of the SoC does it not? We're already pretty far down that path with Apple Silicon chips and now also AMD's Strix Halo line. I guess that doesn't make sense yet for servers with terabytes of DIMM sticks, but for phones and home computers ... do these discrete RAM chips really matter anymore?
