I'm looking at SNAP and I'm wondering if it's a good acquisition play. The stock has been absolutely annihilated, down 90% from its peak, but the user base is still massive and highly engaged, especially within Gen Z. Those kids are entering the real workforce now, and are generating spending money. The company is trading at a dirt-cheap valuation compared to other social media plays, and a large buyer like Google or Meta could easily integrate it into their own ecosystem.
What am I missing? Buying calls seems like a safe bet AFIACT

Can't imagine why anyone buys into this dumpster fire of a company. Anyone buying into Snap deserves to lose it all.

Snap acquires Saturn, a social calendar app for high school and college students. Because this is definitely going to solve the problem where Snap is absolutely hemorrhaging money and has been for years. A social calendar app. Yup.
How is snapchat still a company? Now they have introduced "My AI", a chatbot powered by ChatGPT, which has been met with significant backlash from parents and users alike. Many users are criticizing the feature for privacy reasons, "creepy" interactions, and the inability to remove it without paying for a premium subscription, leading to a flood of negative reviews and social media condemnation.
