Just scrolling through the headlines and seeing this thing about McDonalds pushing to get rid of tipped wages and calling for a higher federal minimum wage. It's an interesting position to take for a global conglomerate like McDonalds. Thought they would bee 100% on board with late stage capitalism.
The CEO went so far as to call out the restaurant industry for using tipped wages to essentially get customers to pay for their labor. And he has a point. The system lets companies pay as little as $2.13, with customers making up the difference in tips. Now that Trump is making tips tax-free, it would give a competitive advantage to these already abusive restaurants. Paying your employees a fair minimum wage literally puts them at an economic disadvantage.
What a crazy place this country has come to.

Pour one out for the McDonald + Krispy Kreme partnership.

Apparently the deal wasn't nearly profitable enough for the donut chain, which kind of makes sense considering donuts aren't really a McDonalds kind of menu item.
Oh hell yeah, Micky D's is bringing back snack wraps next month. These things are great for a quick little lunch when you're out running errands. Can't wait.
Pour one out for CosMc's, we hardly knew ye. Apparently targeting Gen Z consumers is a losing strategy. Which makes sense, considering they tend to be rather short on cash.
