They claim, "humanity deserves better" from technology and are going to do something about it. Now getting in to bed with Sam Altman, this is all starting to feel extremely icky. Neither of these companies have come close to producing a profitable venture. There's zero proven track record for Open AI to produce anything of value - ChatGPT and its surrounding features are operating at an insane loss measured in the billions of dollars. Everything about this just _screams_ snake oil, and that they are desperate to continue the hype train that has elevated the valuation of Open AI so far. The intentional vagueness around their upcoming "AI Device" makes no sense. If they had something tangible, they'd be screaming about it from the rooftops. But all we get are gross teasers about Sam and Jony being best buddies and nothing is ever going to be the same again? Pass.
